Big Bend Pictures Both books published by UT Press Big Bend Pictures 2003: This book is all black and white images shot on film, of the people and landscapes of the Big Bend area. I never wanted to do a tourist type, pretty, oversaturated color book of Big Bend landscapes. It's been done a hundred times. I wanted to show what kind of person chooses to live in this landscape. These mountains, these skies are addictive. You can feel it when you visit, but for some, myself included, I couldn't leave it. 37 years later, I can still hardly leave it. This book was reprinted twice and is now out of print. The 20 year updated version is available.
